How to Join the Klima Fair Launch: Step-by-Step Guide for $KLIMA Holders (and Future Ones)

I have my $KLIMA tokens on an exchange (CEX). What do I do?


You need(!) a self-custodial Web3 wallet like Metamask, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, or WalletConnect to interact with the new Klima Fair Launch app. Metamask is a popular choice; you can use this guide if you need help with the installation process. 


If your tokens are on an exchange, you must send them from the exchange to your self-custodial Web3 wallet. Otherwise, you won’t be able to connect to the Klima Protocol App or participate in the Fair Launch.


I have sKLIMA or wsKLIMA on Polygon in my wallet. Can I use these for the Fair Launch?


sKLIMA is staked KLIMA, while wsKLIMA is wrapped staked KLIMA. You can not use these tokens for the Fair Launch.


If you own sKLIMA tokens, go to https://app.klimadao.finance/#/stake, connect your Web3 wallet, and unstake them. This will convert sKLIMA to KLIMA.


If you own wsKLIMA tokens, go to https://app.klimadao.finance/#/wrap, connect your Web3 wallet, and unwrap them. This will convert wsKLIMA to sKLIMA. Then, go to https://app.klimadao.finance/#/stake and unstake your sKLIMA tokens to receive KLIMA.


I have KLIMA tokens on Polygon. Can I participate in the Fair Launch?


No, your tokens need to be on the Base network to participate. You can move your tokens from Polygon to Base following these steps:


  1. Go to https://app.squidrouter.com/?chains=137%2C8453&tokens=0x4e78011ce80ee02d2c3e649fb657e45898257815%2C0xdcefd8c8fcc492630b943abcab3429f12ea9fea2

  2. Click the ‘Connect’ button and connect your Web3 wallet.

  3. In the upper section, enter the amount of $KLIMA you want to move to Base.

  4. Click ‘Permission to use tokens’ first, then confirm the transaction.

  5. Click ‘Swap’’, then confirm the transaction.


This process might take a little while. Once complete, your $KLIMA tokens will be on Base.


Note: To pay for this transaction, you will need a small amount of POL tokens on Polygon. Later, you will also need a small amount of ETH tokens on Base. $1 worth of each token will be enough.


I do not own any $KLIMA tokens but want to be part of the Fair Launch.


In that case, buy $KLIMA tokens on Base. You can do this on Aerodrome.


How do I stake my tokens?


Go to https://app.klimaprotocol.com/ and connect your wallet. After a short wait, you will be redirected to the app. Then, follow these steps:


  1. Click the green ‘Participate in Klima Fair Launch’ button.

  2. Click ‘Proceed’.

  3. Enter the amount you wish to stake and click ‘Stake’.

  4. Click ‘Approve’, confirm the transaction.

  5. Click ‘Submit’, confirm the transaction.


Done! How are points calculated?

For User Points for 90 days, Stake Amount: 10000 KLIMA_V0 and Growth Rate: 274

On Discord, I saw a message about an airdrop for the Fair Launch.


ALL AIRDROP ADVERTISEMENTS AND MESSAGES ARE FAKE. There is NO AIRDROP for Klima or KlimaX tokens, and there will never be an airdrop for either of these tokens. If someone messages you about an airdrop, IT IS A SCAM.
